While chocolates are in the microwave, clean cookie pan and line with wax paper.Remove bowl from microwave and stir. Return bowl to microwave for 15 more seconds. 3. Remove bowl and pour chocolate onto wax paper and begin to smooth with butter knife.Begin to sprinkle crushed peppermint onto chocolate.4. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Peel from wax paper and begin to break into pieces.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. I wanted to share my giving back story. Here is a basket of food that I took down to the women's center in downtown LA for the holidays a couple of weeks ago. Every year around the holidays I always say how I want to give back but, I never get around to it or I allow my finances get in the way. Well this year I promised myself that no matter what, I was taking some food to a shelter. When I bought the food I didn't think it was enough but, it was all I could afford. So I purchased it anyway and hoped it would be enough and it was. When I took it's to the women's center the women were so grateful for those basic items that you see in the picture. It almost brought me to tears and made me so grateful for the little I do have. It also made me see how far a little help can go a long way. This is a shelter that is facing many of the state cut backs so right now they count on donations. A life that only focuses on you and your own personal struggles is no life at all. So I have decided to donate food to the shelter every month no matter how little or big the donation is. I encourage anyone reading this post to do the same for a cause that means something to you. It's doesn't matter how little or how big the donation is or even if you only do it a couple of times out of the year. I encourage you to pick a cause close to your heart and fight for it. Ladies we have the power to change anything we set our minds to so let start with a cause :)
Hey ladies it's gurl chat. Here are a few pics from my b-day weekend. I had a look all put together and I was all set to take pictures this weekend but, it rained. Shoes and earrings are from wild.
How can anyone forget the scrunchie. I only had like a million of them growing up lol When I look at old pictures of when I was a child I laugh at how I many of them I used in my hair. Gotta love the 90's :)

Hello ladies hope everyone adjusted to the time change well. I sure enjoyed that extra hour of sleep last night :) Seeing that it was 93 degrees out here in Los Angeles today and, it's been hot since fall started I can only dream of wearing fall clothes right now. Here were a few of my fall inspirations this year. What are some of your's?
Hello ladies it's Sunday. The last day of relaxing before getting back to the hustle and bustle of another work week. I went to the drugstore this weekend and did a mini cvs haul lol. I intended to only purchase one new magazine but, when I saw two of my favorites on the cover I couldn't resist. I also picked up a couple of new nail polish colors by Wet n Wild for $1.99 a piece. I figured a couple of new nail polishes and magazines won't break the bank lol. It's my little treat to myself . Ladies it's important that we give ourselves a little weekly or biweekly treat. I know times are hard and we all have financial responsibilities but, it's important to take the time out and do something nice for yourself. I'm guilty of not following that rule sometimes too so don't feel bad if this applies to you. But you know what I deserve it and you do too :)
It's that time again ladies. Please go out and vote on Tuesday. We live in such an amazing country were we have the right to vote and voice our opinion on important issues that affect us. There are so many women in the world today who do not share the same privilege to be able to vote. We should be grateful that we live in a nation that allows us to be heard no matter what our political views are. Women make up 51 percent of the U.S. population so ladies let's be heard. Go Vote!!!! :)
