Summer Hair

So I know it's only spring but, summer is on my mind right now. I'm trying to figure out a summer hair style that is low maintenance and cost effective and braids came to mind. I've been wanting to do Box Braids for sometime now but, have always been worried with how heavy they are and the tension it would cause around my hair line. Individual braids at one point were my go to style while I was trying to grow my awkward hair length out from my failed relaxer but, wearing them very often did do some damage. Wearing braids can be kind of tricky sometimes. If you get them to small or big they can pull your hair out . Plus you have to be very careful on who you let install them into your hair because if they braid to tight not only will it cause damage it will be very painful on your scalp. So i"m not sure if wearing this style is the right thing to do for my hair this summer but, they're so darn cute! Uggg! lol I have to figure it out. I'll be sure to post pics of  whatever I decided to do.

Cajun Salmon & Asparagus

So I love salmon! I eat it at least once a week but, sometimes I get a little bored with the way I cook it. So this past week I decided to spice it up with Cajun seasoning and it was amazing!

All you need:

• Foil
• Salmon 
• Asparagus trimmed
• Olive Oil
• Cajun Seasoning- Note: you can buy any already made Cajun seafood seasoning at your local store or you can click the link below to make your own.

1. Place Salmon on a medium square of foil and sprinkle it with olive oil front and back.
2. Season salmon with Cajun seasoning 
3. Wrap salmon in the foil to create a foil packet and place it in the oven on 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
4. While salmon is cooking place asparagus in a skillet on a medium fire and drizzle with olive oil and Cajun seasoning. Cook for about 8 minutes or until tender.
5. All done! Enjoy :)

Spring Trends 2013

Even though it's still a bit chilly, I guess it's safe to safe spring is here. Spring is probably my favorite season  out of the year because everything feels so fresh and new. The cool air feels so clean and crisp, flowers are starting to bloom, and it's time to break out the sandals and floral prints again. Some trends for this spring season seem to be mixed prints, stripes/sixties, cartoon tees, and of course floral prints. I'm going to try and make the most out of my spring this year because it goes by so quick. Hope you ladies do too!

Lately I've been missing the 90's. It was such a fun decade to to grow up in as a kid/pre-teen. I have so many great memories of the 90's that I couldn't possibly fit it all into this one post. I  mean I could make a never ending list of all the wonderful things that come to mind when I think about this time period. From the fashion trends, to the music ,to the shows, the 90's were awesome! I miss this era. Do any of you ladies ever get the 90's blues? lol
